About Me
I'm a versatile writer and marketer based in Chicago.
I’ve spent the last 10+ years contributing a unique brand of creativity and professionalism to various companies and institutions by way of writing and content creation. I served as the principal content writer for Chicago startups UrbanBound and project44 during periods of impressive growth and multiple successful rounds of funding, as well as national brands like CompareCoOps and Lineup.ai.
In 2017, I received the David Carr Prize for emerging writers from South by Southwest for my essay “The Heart of Something Heartless”.
I have a wide range of experience creating marketing content that includes extensive blogging, web copy, guides, UX, eBooks, one-pagers, videos, sales collateral, email marketing and integrated campaigns, and more.
I've managed teams of writers, developed content strategy, scheduled and executed content calendars, and edited work for tone and SEO. I also have experience with content design.
An avid creative writer, I write short stories, essays, and more in my free time. I also write and record music and modify GameBoys as hobbies.
I graduated from the University of Iowa in 2010, with a Bachelor's in English with a focus on Creative Writing.
